Many, many thanks again to Faith_Fan: casting sides have appeared for Episode 14 of 'Angel.' A summary has been posted on Spoiled Rotten. It's pretty detailed, so you might not want to read it if you want to be surprised. website ]

Also, the Hollywood Reporter has said that 'Angel' won't move to its new timeslot on Wednesdays until January 15, 2003. That means the Faith episodes probably won't start airing until February 19, 2003.

Entertainment Weekly posted an article about the major players this season on Buffy. The writer has a paragraph on Faith in her conclusion. The article might be spoilery for non-US viewers. article ]

Cult Times conducted an interview with Tim Minear in Sp. #24, and he raves about Eliza and Faith:

Arguably, another one of those heroes who was seduced by the dark side is rogue slayer Faith (Eliza Dushku). Minear says 'Five by Five' stands out in the pack, where Faith and Angel duke it out before she breaks down in the rain. With Faith slated to appear again in magic episode 13, which will be directed and written by Minear, he offered some high praise about the character and Dushku herself.

"Oh my God! What's not to love?" poses Minear when asked about Dushku's appeal. "Besides the fact Eliza is a force of nature and incredibly hot and an amazing actress, the character she and Joss created is just so compelling. The thing I love about Faith is you know that chick and you understand she's not some simple harpy. She's complex, and, to me, she fits perfectly into the Angel universe. She's a hero, incredibly flawed and full of pain. What I love about her now is she's in jail and we all know she doesn't have to be. Whatever redemption she's seeking is completely honest."

Just a note that Tim Minear posted on the An Angel's Soul spoiler board a few weeks ago and stated that he didn't end up writing and directing Episode #13 of 'Angel.' David Fury wrote the ep and a new director was hired to direct it. post ]

Many thanks again to Faith_Fan: more Faith spoilers have appeared from the casting sides for Angel, episode #13. A rundown has been posted on Spoiled Rotten. website ]

Many thanks to The Tragic Vixen: she's also posting some more spoilers from ep #13 on the message board. thread ]

Updated to add Wanda's comments on ep #13 from her E! Online chat (she confirms that they're shooting the episode now.) As they haven't posted the chat transcript on the site yet, I'll add it using spoiler text. Highlight the text if you would like to read it.
sublimegirls asks: Anything on Angel?
Wanda replies: Faith is back!! Eliza Dushku reprises her kick-gluteous role in episode 13, which they’re now working on. We first see her blinking against the daylight, being let out into the prison yard. Also, it looks like one of the main characters will be dead as of ep 13, possibly at the hands of Angelus. Guesses?
'Angel' 4.13 is likely to air on February 12, 2003 (depending on the WB's schedule, if they show new episodes straight through when they return from the holiday hiatus.) 'Angel' will be moved to Wednesday nights at 9pm ET in January, replacing the cancelled 'Birds of Prey.'

Many thanks to tHA aNSwER, who's been kind enough to post an avi file of Eliza's "90 second Life Story" as profiled by the TV Guide channel last month. I've split up the file, and you can download the segments here. part 1 || part 2 ]

Just a reminder about the fan chat that will be held tomorrow. (That is, Tuesday December 10 at 5pm EST. You can check the time here.) If you want to join us, you can register on the message board and access a java version of the chat. The chat server is also available using an IRC client program such as mIRC. You can connect to the server at irc.everywherechat.com and join room #ElizaDushku. If it works, we might schedule regular fan chats in the future, particularly to discuss Buffy and Angel when Eliza appears again. message board ]

Many thanks to Faith_Fan for the alert: the first Faith spoilers have popped up over on Spoiled Rotten. Don't click if you don't want to know. website ]

This was a bit from the Boston Herald back on November 22:

The New England Patriots FINALLY come home this week and they'll have a few celebrity cheerleaders in the Gillette Stadium stands. "Boomtown" biggie Donnie Wahlberg, a Dorchester homey; "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" vamp Eliza Dushku, who's from Watertown; and the Coors Light Twins, Elaine and Diane Klimaszewski of Worcester, will be rooting for the Pats to whup the Vikings. Such a good-looking crowd!

With thanks to Little Willow on the Everlasting Eliza email list, Nancy Holder and Jeff Mariotte (authors of the 'Buffy' books) spoke to BBCi about the appeal of Faith and what they think of Eliza in a Buffy spinoff:

What do you think is Faith's enduring appeal and could/should she carry Buffy should Sarah leave this year?

Jeff: I've never tried to analyse Faith's appeal, but I suppose it boils down to a few simple roots (boy, what a sadly mixed metaphor that is!):

1) Eliza is a tremendously talented actor.
2) She ain't hard to look at.
3) She's kind of the dark-Buffy, like when Elizabeth Montgomery played Samantha Stevens's evil cousin Serena, only more so.

I am not sure she could sustain a series in the way that Sarah does, because part of the appeal is that Sarah plays against type - she's a tiny blonde cheerleader who can destroy powerful vampires. Looking at Faith, you have almost no doubt that she could destroy vamps, even without the Slayer powers. But at the same time, if Joss decides to go that way, I'm certain he can pull it off.

Nancy: We wanted to bust Faith out. I also wanted to write about a dark Slayer in The Evil That Men Do, but The Powers That Be told me that Faith was going to be coming, so I had to change a few things. I'm sure Faith could hold her own as the protag/antagonist of the show. Eliza Dushku is electrifying, gorgeous, and a fantastic actor.

What about that scene with Angel in the rain when she surrenders? She pulls off the real emotions, just like Sarah. As Jeff points out, they're the two sides of the same consciousness - dark and light, champion and berserker. interview ]

Another comment from James Cameron about what's happening in regards to True Lies 2, this time in an interview with Dark Horizons:

Question: Is there a True Lies 2 on the horizon?
Answer: I put that in limbo after September 11. I just didn't feel comfortable making a romantic comedy about international terrorism, to be perfectly honest.
